PSP World Cup 2008

Raiden played the 2008 PSP World Cup in Orlando, FL this past week. Battling it out through 4 rounds they made it to finals and placed 3rd, their 4th national event placing this year. They placed in 2nd overall for the year in the National Series.

They were featured on the live webcast viewed by people in several countries around the world. Their entire finals match was aired live on the Pro NXL field surrounded by hundreds of spectators and fans. The game went into overtime, and before 10 seconds a tank blew and the buzzer sounded before they could get another body. They played and won the last overtime point with 4 bodies versus Shockwave's 5.

Raiden/Raiden Black 2nd/3rd Place CFOA XBall #4

Raiden D2 placed second and Raiden Black D3 placed third at CFOA XBall #4 in Rock Hill, SC on Sept. 20th and 21st in division 2.

Raiden 2nd Place Spyder Cup

Raiden members Zak Giger, Brody Giger, and Thaddeus Cesari placed 3rd in the Spyder Cup and won 3 Zune MP3 players.

The D3 team bumped up a division to play D2 and placed 4th.

Raiden won the D2 division for the second time this past weekend in Rock Hill, South Carolina at Paintball Central.

PSP Chicago Open

Raiden D2 and Raiden Black D3 attended the PSP Chicago Open this past week from June 25th-29th.

D2 again went through prelims undefeated, going into quarter-finals in 1st place where they drew Guerrilla Air Factory and Palm Beach Venom. Winning both matches by one point they continued to semi-finals to play Fierce. The match was at a close 3-3 when the storm hit, and when the poles bent and nets fell the game was postponed until morning. Raiden came out strong the following day beating fierce 5-3 putting them into finals playing for first and second yet again, against a somewhat local team Cross-Eyed Paintball. Raiden started hard getting up 5-0 before CEP came back in the last minutes to beat them 5-6. Raiden placed second once again and won $4,000 putting them into 3rd place for the season.

D3 went through prelims going 3-1 and lost a player due to injury. They continued into ocho-finals going 1-1 beating Naughty Dogs Silver and losing to Qualityttr.com, putting them through to quarter-finals. After played a hard event they couldn't pull it out and went 0-2 knocking them out giving them a 12th place finish. They are currently in 12th place after 2/3 events.

Next event: CFOA XBall #3 in Rock Hill, SC July 24th-25th.
